![]() ![]() Edinson Cavani had a goal ruled out by VAR but Kylian Mbappe lashed home and Thiago Silva headed in a third. Dijon held out for 47 seconds before Wesley Lautoa scored an own goal, though Mounir Chouiar did equalise. The best news is Yazawa is feeling better to the point where she can start drawing again, and it's our good fortune that she’s able to do so.Paris St-Germain extended their unbeaten run to 22 matches in all competitions as they hammered Dijon to reach the French Cup semi-finals. The good news is it appears the series WILL resume. When it does, it will likely be on a slower release schedule. So the bad news is NANA isn’t coming back soon. Not only will this likely be at least a couple of years away, but the anime won’t be able to resume until there is enough material to adapt, which means that project is an additional few years away. When it does return it’s obvious that she can’t return to a weekly schedule, so it will likely have to resume on a monthly basis as opposed to a weekly release. This means that the series will likely need to have several chapters finished in advance before it can resume publication. Therefore, if we are to take her word for law, she will be working on the manga at a leisurely pace. While fans would love to read the rest of NANA, I believe most would want Ai Yazawa to not overwork herself to death either. When this happens, the results can be fatal, as fans of Berserk found out with the recent passing of Kentaro Miura. ![]() While articles about the overworking of manga artists have finally started to become public, the reality is that it is not uncommon for manga artists to ignore their health in favor of producing their work. Please look forward to when that time comes. Not only that, but I would love to keep working on my manga while taking care of my health from now on. I feel like my body has been recovering little by little while preparing for this event as well. I am terribly sorry for making everyone worry since I have taken a long hiatus from NANA. ![]() ![]() This exhibition is dedicated to everybody who supports me and keeps reading my work. While being interviewed during the exhibit in Tokyo, a reporter asked her about NANA’s continued hiatus and what the possibility of it returning was. Fans of hers were delighted to see new art and wondered if this meant an end to NANA’s hiatus was just around the corner? She not only gave her blessing to display her art, she even managed to create some new art herself. Despite not fully being recovered, Yazawa agreed to the exhibit. As a result, Yazawa was contacted about putting together a potential art exhibit for the fans of her work. There have been no updates on the status of the series since…until now.ĭespite the fact that the series hasn’t been published in years and remains unfinished, people still love it to this day and have kept it in the public eye since. After this announcement she largely retreated from the public eye to focus on her health. She was released from the hospital in 2010 where she reveled that she may never be able to work on the series again due to the strenuous nature of working as a mangaka. Sadly, after this chapter was published Ai Yazawa came down with an undisclosed illness which resulted in her being hospitalized. However, the series was nowhere near complete, and the author had years planned for release. However, life threatens to take the friends in different directions once more, and it leaves one of them wondering if the other one truly needs her in her life anymore? Had the chapter not ended with potential life changes on the horizon it might have made for a good series finale. In this installment the two Nana’s have reunited and are enjoying food and karaoke once again. On May 2009, the 84th chapter was published in the anthology magazine Cookie. ![]()
